A: 2 and bit

Q: What’s the coolest or most interesting thing you
have worked on at SPA?
A: The
various custom solar-trailers that I’ve been involved with. Designing them from
scratch with CAD and then being part of the manufacture and assembly process
right through to the final product. I’ve learnt a lot about how to improve and
streamline my designs.
Q: What’s the best piece of professional advice
you’ve ever received?
A: Your job
pays you twice: once with money, and once with allowing you to learn new skills
to get a better job. If it’s not paying you twice, it’s time to look for a new
job.
Q: What are three items you’d take with you to a
deserted island?
A:
1. A book on how to survive on a deserted island
2. Aqautabs
3. A big ‘ol knife

A: Arsenal FC

to be when you grew up?
A: An inventor
Q: What motivates you?
A: Deadlines
….but also travelling and trying new food
Q: How do you describe what you do for a living to family and friends?
A: An engineer for a solar company: as well as being part of the sales team, I design and model things for our metal fab team to make. Things like trailers, street lights and battery casings.
Q: Who would you most
like to switch places with for a day?
A: It would be cool to be a shark or a whale if
that counts
Q: What characteristic do you like most about
yourself?
A:I work hard to
solve a problem efficiently
Q: If you could change something in the
world, what would it be?
A: I’d say we need a bigger drive to develop and implement renewable
technology on larger scales rather than being too risk averse to move away from
fossil fuels.

Q: How do you wind down after work?
A: Kick a ball
or get down to the beach.
